A Little Yarn, A Lot of Love: Glamorous Sloth Gives Back! 🦥💚
At Glamorous Sloth, I believe that the little things we do can make a big difference. Whether it’s creating something special with yarn or finding ways to give back to the world around us, I want this little crochet business to stand for more than just handmade creations. I want it to stand for kindness, compassion, and a love for sloths!
Today, I’m incredibly proud and excited to share some wonderful news with you: Glamorous Sloth is giving back to the sloths we all know and love!
🦥 Supporting Sloth Conservation
I’ve decided to donate a portion of my sales to the Sloth Conservation Foundation, an organization dedicated to protecting sloths and the rainforest ecosystems they call home.
The Sloth Conservation Foundation, also known as SloCo, was founded in 2017 by sloth scientist Dr. Rebecca Cliffe. Their work focuses on scientific research, habitat restoration, wildlife protection, and community education. Rather than simply rescuing individual animals, they work to address the challenges sloths face in the wild and help create a safer future for them and their rainforest homes. đź’š
Their projects include restoring connections between fragmented forests, installing wildlife bridges to help sloths move safely through their habitats, studying wild sloth populations, and educating communities about conservation.

đź’š Meet My Adopted Sloth: Deborah!
I have another exciting announcement to share: I've symbolically adopted Deborah the sloth! 🥹🦥
Deborah, affectionately known as Debbie, is a two-fingered sloth with an inspiring story. After a difficult start in life and several rescue and treatment efforts, she has continued to thrive and has even become a mom!
Through the Sloth Conservation Foundation's Urban Sloth Project, Deborah is part of ongoing research that helps scientists better understand how wild sloths live and navigate their changing environment. Her story is a wonderful reminder of why conservation matters and why protecting their natural habitats is so important.
Symbolically adopting Deborah means that I'm directly supporting the foundation's research and conservation projects. I can also follow her journey through tracking updates, photos, and stories from the team working in the field. How amazing is that?

🌱 Every Little Bit Adds Up
So far, I've donated over $35 toward this cause!
Now, I know that might not sound like a huge amount when we're talking about protecting wildlife and entire rainforest ecosystems. But you know what? I'm proud of it!
Every meaningful change has to start somewhere. Thirty-five dollars is a beginning, and with continued support and future sales, I hope to make an even bigger difference over time.
That's why I've decided to make giving back part of the Glamorous Sloth journey. By donating a portion of my sales, I can connect my love of crochet and sloths with something that matters beyond my little corner of the internet.
